2020 Flood Damage

The 2020 floods have left many people wondering where and how to get help.  The Conservation District, working with Walla Walla County, is helping residents tally the damage so the county can apply for FEMA emergency funds. If you have property damage, call the district at 509-956-3777 and we will add your request to the total. Currently there are NO funds to do immediate work. When you call the district, we will ask the following:

• Name, address, email, phone number
• Creek or river, river mile if you know it
• Estimated cost
• Structures damaged, lost
• Acres lost to erosion
• Crop loss (If applicable contact your crop insurance agency)
• Debris needing removal
• Fish screen damage (or other irrigation damage)
• Other: e.g., stock watering facility, fencing, livestock feed
• Do you have pictures?
