Due to the EMERGENCY PROCLAMATION BY THE GOVERNOR (26-03) only agricultural burning with a written permit is allowed. All outdoor and permit exempt burning (orchard prunings, ditch banks, fence rows, irrigation canals, windblown tumbleweeds) is prohibited at this time. If you would like to discuss information about burning, please call the Dept. of Ecology - Eastern Regional Office at (509) 329-3400 and ask for the burn team member on duty. Office hours are M-F from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The daily burn decision for Ecology regulated Eastern Washington counties is determined by the regional office responsible for the county in question.
